A decade ago we peaced out of the lycra game. While we were busy getting down, xc got a lot more x, calling for the comeback of a legend, the asr helps today's racers be faster where they have to be. On first blush it may appear to have peers, but don't get it twisted. The reincarnated asr is a lot like nothing else.

This is the Legend, Reborn. Forty years in the making, the anniversary ASR is here. A tribute to Yeti’s formative years in the early ‘90s, we’ve blended a forgotten historic Yeti livery with unmistakable craftsmanship. Shaped by a wild era when a crew of misfits set the sport ablaze. Trail Ready Shortly after launching the ASR we had a familiar thought: “What if we put a longer fork on this?” Well, here we are again, the 40th Anniversary ASR is born. With 10mm more travel up front, the head angle gets a bit slacker. Finished with a FOX Float SL, Motive brakes, and Maxxis Forekaster tires, this ASR will be begging for more. Dare it. It’s ready. Violet Primer Aside from a suspension fork, 24-speeds and bar-ends, nothing was more rad than having your bike tricked out with matching 3D Violet parts. Many shades of anodizing ruled the roost in the 90’s, but it all started with 3D Violet. Custom anodized and laser etched DT Swiss hubs anchor the custom 40th Anniversary Wheelset. Super LTD. To make them extra special, we made only 200 of these highly curated bikes. Each frame is individually numbered on the Special Projects badge and hand-assembled at our Golden, Colorado factory. Still The King Few brands have been with Yeti since the beginning. Custom SRAM Tasteful hits of 3D Violet adorn the one-of-a-kind SRAM XX drivetrain, while the new silver Motive brakes add a vintage flair. Hopped Up All the little details add up to perfection. Frame hardware is custom anodized in 3D Violet, while the SL rocker link, custom-engraved Bike Yoke Barkeeper stem, and DT Swiss Revolite® spokes are high polished to show off the lust-worthy details. Do Everything, and Do It Better The new Switchblade has a slacker head angle, steeper seat angle, increased reach and a longer wheelbase than its predecessor. Size-specific chainstays are tucked in and responsive but grow incrementally longer on larger frames. This translates to added stability at warp speeds while still maintaining the snap and pop that is ingrained in the Switchblade’s DNA. From Trail to Park The new Switchblade is light enough to pedal all day, but stout enough to run a Fox 38 without any worries. You can spin this rig up into the jagged high places, and it is burly enough, composed enough, planted enough and smooth enough to smash every line all the way back down, laughing the whole way.
